A rare example of one of Ferrari’s most revered modern hypercars is currently live on the Collecting Cars auction platform – and it’s already generating serious interest. This UK-delivered 2004 Ferrari Enzo, one of only a handful ever supplied to the UK, is already attracting bids beyond £1.65 million with four days still to go before the auction closes on Tuesday 13 May.
Finished in Ferrari’s iconic Rosso Corsa and boasting Ferrari Classiche certification, this particular Enzo is offered from 18 years of private ownership and has covered fewer than 15,000 miles since new. Delivered new by Meridien Modena in Hampshire, the car is accompanied by its original books, tool kit, and a comprehensive Ferrari service history.
Inside, the Enzo features factory carbon-fibre racing seats trimmed in Nero leather with Rosso inserts and rare factory-specified Rosso leather detailing – including a unique steering wheel centre reportedly found on only two Rosso Corsa cars out of the 400 built. Its V12 heart – the 6.0-litre F140B engine – delivers 651 bhp through a six-speed F1-style gearbox, launching the Enzo from 0–62 mph in just 3.1 seconds.
The car’s visual drama is heightened by twin-spoke 19-inch BBS alloys, darker silver in finish, paired with carbon-ceramic brakes. Meanwhile, the lower bodywork – originally finished in black – has been refinished in matching Rosso Corsa for a more unified and striking appearance.
Originally launched in 2002, the Ferrari Enzo was created as a flagship model to honour company founder Enzo Ferrari and to showcase Formula 1-derived technology for the road. It was the final naturally aspirated V12 halo car from Maranello before the hybrid era began. Its carbon tub, pushrod suspension and raw, high-revving performance make it a true motorsport-inspired icon.
Though it did sustain early minor damage in its life, the Enzo was professionally repaired by Ferrari’s official bodyshop, Carrozzeria Zanasi in Maranello, and remains mechanically original – a detail well documented in its provenance.
Ferrari produced just 400 examples of the Enzo globally, with the final car famously gifted to Pope John Paul II. Today, many examples reside in private collections, making this public sale especially noteworthy. For enthusiasts and collectors alike, this listing is a rare chance to secure a piece of Ferrari history.
Its certainly is creating a lot of interest and with bids already topping £1.65M it will be interesting to see the ultimate price. I certainly hope it goes to a home that will enjoy it rather than just sit in a museum as these works of art certainly need to be enjoyed.
The auction concludes Tuesday 13 May. View the full listing at: collectingcars.com/for-sale/2004-ferrari-enzo-2
